Here is a list of candidates in the major races appearing on the ballot for voters in the county. This information is intended to provide a snapshot of candidates’ policies and backgrounds.

Important voting dates

Oct. 24-Nov. 1: In-person early voting at the Sullivan County Government Center (hours below).
Saturday, Oct. 26: Last day to register to vote in person, and last day to apply for mail-in or absentee ballots by mail. The post office recommends voters request mail-in ballots by mail at least 15 days before Election Day.
Tuesday, Nov. 5: In-person voting at polling locations from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and last day to postmark or return mail-in ballots to the Board of Elections. Mail-in ballots must be received no later than Nov. 12 to be counted.

To receive a mail-in ballot, go to ballotapplication.elections.ny.gov/home/earlymail and fill out an application online. You may also request a mail-in ballot by sending a letter to the Board of Elections, Sullivan County Government Center, 100 North St., Monticello, NY, 12701.

STUDENTS NEEDED

The Sullivan County Board of Elections has an urgent need for poll workers. High schoolers are eligible and are encouraged to apply. Students must be:

A US citizen.
17 years of age or older on or before Election Day.
Registered as a “Future Voter” (or if 18 years old, registered as a voter) in Sullivan County.
